Labiaplasty is a plastic surgery procedure to modify the inner and/or outer labia, which are the external folds of skin surrounding the female genitalia. Physical characteristics of the labia will differ from person to person and can change depending on factors such as childbirth or piercings, for example. It is often performed on those experiencing discomfort, or those who wish to alter their appearance.

Labiaplasty is typically an outpatient procedure and patients can resume light activities within a few days. There are a variety of techniques used for this procedure. Dr. Freedland will evaluate each case to determine which technique is most appropriate based on the patient’s physiology and desired results.
